During my time working with Andrey, we collaborated on a number of projects from the UX/UI design side, including a large and highly complex SaaS platform that was developed for and successfully launched in the UK and US markets. As a Design Lead, Andrey consistently demonstrated a high level of responsibility and ownership. He approached design not simply as a way to create visually appealing interfaces, but as a tool for achieving specific business and product goals. His approach was strongly business-oriented. He focused on creating experiences that could drive user actions, improve conversion, support business growth, and ultimately generate more value for the company. At the same time, he consistently aimed to develop solutions that were stronger and more competitive than existing market alternatives. From my perspective as Head of Delivery, I worked with Andrey within an Agile methodology and two-week Scrum sprints. Throughout our collaboration, he consistently stayed within his estimates, planned his work responsibly, and proactively identified and addressed potential project risks before they could affect delivery. He also consistently followed the agreed Scrum ceremonies and maintained a structured approach to his work, which made collaboration between Design, Project Management, and Development much more predictable.
Another area I would like to highlight is Andrey’s experience with marketing websites. He worked closely not only with UX/UI and development teams, but also with marketers, copywriters, and developers to ensure that the final website was aligned with both the visual direction and the broader marketing and business objectives.
Andrey’s approach to design handoff was another strong advantage. When preparing a product for development, he consistently provided a high-quality handoff package for developers, including a clear and well-structured Design System, detailed specifications, and comprehensive documentation covering both QA requirements and the handoff process. This significantly reduced the number of design-related issues and misunderstandings during development. From a Delivery perspective, this also made it much easier to start the development phase quickly and prepare accurate development estimates, because the design work had already been properly structured, documented, and prepared for implementation. Overall, Andrey demonstrated himself as a responsible and business-oriented Design Lead who understands that successful design is not only about aesthetics. It is about solving user problems, supporting business objectives, working effectively with cross-functional teams, and creating solutions that can be successfully implemented.
